HataHata is primarily managed by Kosuke Soka, a non-regular worker, with the aim of creating a space to share ideas and activities alongside those who support our mission. Due to the nature of this platform, we have refrained from soliciting financial support in the past, striving instead to cover costs through advertising revenue and other means to avoid placing a burden on our visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the current economic conditions and challenges in the labor environment have significantly increased the burden of operational costs and the time required for updates. Exhibition of Past Social Movement Materials<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A distinctive feature of HataHata is its collection and public display of records and documents from social movements, primarily from the 1970s and 1980s. In many countries, it is common to study modern and contemporary history seriously, preserving valuable materials for research. However, in Japan, serious historical research or public sharing of such materials, unless driven by curiosity or criticism, is often met with disdain and skepticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, even the participants of these movements rarely engage in critical reflections or a thorough examination of their history. This leads to “new movements” that often repeat the same mistakes, driven by a sense of self-righteousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its modest efforts, HataHata seeks to make its collection available to the public, offering a platform to reexamine the past from a modern perspective. By providing insights into the historical context of these movements, as well as theories of activism and organization, we hope to inspire meaningful lessons for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
